Barrel organs

As a child, Marc wanted to work as carpenter. His woodwork project was to designed and build wooden toys. He studied carpenter-joiner in Namur and learn what will later be his job. After his studies, he works in some furniture restoration workshop.

In 1997, he makes a meeting that will change his live.  Marc becomes pupil of Albert Roulive and this for two years.  He learns the organ builder profession and the spirit that goes along.  With his wife Liesbet, he participates to several street organ festivals.  He meets “tourneurs” or organists that become very quickly good friends.  The street organ world is a big family.  

After this great experience, he continues with his previous profession and opens his own woodwork workshop building organs and barrel organs. Building organs and barrel organs has become a true passion to Marc.
